Velociti® Series AMM-2RIF

The Gamewell-FCI Velociti Series multi-function module (AMM-2RIF) combines two relay outputs and two monitor inputs into one device. The module is capable of Class B supervised wiring that is used for the monitored devices. It also contains Form C relay contacts which allow the panel to switch the contacts on command. There is a dedicated LED on the mod- ule for each input and output. The control panel can use these bi-color LEDS to indicate normal, alarm and trouble conditions.

Velociti® Series AOM-2SF

The Gamewell-FCI Velociti® Series addressable output supervised control module (AOM-2SF) allows a Gamewell-FCI analog addressable fire alarm control panel to switch an external power supply, such as a DC supply or audio amplifier (up to 80 VRMS) to notification appliances. The AOM-2SF notification appliance circuit can be wired either Class A (Style Z) or Class B (Style Y). The Gamewell-FCI Analog Addressable Ionization Sensor (XP95-I) is designed for operation with the Gamewell-FCI, 600 Series and ILI95-E3 Series, fire alarm control panels. Each XP95-I ionization smoke sensor digitally transmits its address but also the chamber’s analog “real time” value to the Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) for analysis. Xtralis VESDA VLF-500

The Alertus© Text-to-Speech (TTS) Module is a smart peripheral alert notification which connects to the Alert Beacon via an RS-232 serial port. MX 200 Fire Extinguishing Systems Fighting Fire using HFC-227ea

The HFC-227ea extinguishing agent reduces the heat of the fire and thus stops the combustion reaction. It is very efficient yet unaggressive at the same time. The extinguishing agent is stored as a liquid, it transforms into a gas only when it exits from the extinguishing nozzles. It therefore extinguishes, as a rule, even concealed fire sources instantaneously.

The rapid extinguishing of a fire already in the nascent phase minimizes the fire damage and prevents long downtimes or business interruptions.

Therefore, HFC-227ea is neither corrosive nor electrically conductive, leaves no residue and can easily be removed from the space concerned through ventilation. HFC-227ea is, besides inert gases, the preferred extinguishing agent for electronic and electrical risks.

HFC-227EA CLEAN AGENT

HFC-227ea provides superior fire protection in a wide range of applications from sensitive electrical equipment to industrial applications using flammable liquids. HFC-227ea is ideal for applications where clean-up of other media presents a problem, where weight versus suppression potential is a factor, where an electrically non-conductive medium is needed and where people compatibility is an overriding factor. When environmental impact is a consideration, HFC-227ea is particularly useful. It has zero ozone- depleting potential, low global warming potential and a short atmospheric lifetime. These characteristics make it suitable not only for new installations using Fike’s total flooding systems, but also for Halon 1301 replacement applications.

HFC-227ea is an odorless, colorless, liquefied compressed gas. (See Physical Properties Table for additional information). It is stored as a liquid and dispensed into the hazard as a colorless, electrically non-conductive vapor that is clear and does not obscure vision. It leaves no residue and has acceptable toxicity for use in occupied spaces at design concentration. HFC-227ea extinguishes a fire by a combination of chemical and physical mechanisms. HFC-227ea does not displace oxygen and therefore is safe for use in occupied spaces without fear of oxygen deprivation.

High Pressure Water Mist

The key to FOGTEC®’s firefighting effectiveness is the generation of very fine water droplets. The size of the droplets is classified as Class A in NFPA 750. This extremely small droplet size makes the FOGTEC® system highly effective and uses only small amounts of water. The key factors are the system’s ability to cool and its localised oxygen displacement effect. FOGTEC® systems are 100% environmentally friendly and harmless to personnel. A pre-warning period prior to activation to evaluate personnel is not necessary. There are no corrosive by-products generated to impair electrical or electronic components.

Intermediate Pressure Water Mist

MicroMist® is a self-contained, single fluid, pre-engineered water mist fire suppression system that is at the forefront of new environmentally friendly fire protection technology. It is used for total compartment protection of hazards such as machinery spaces, diesel generator sets and compartmentalised gas turbine generators. It is ideal for applications without an available water source. The MicroMist® fire suppression system produces a fine mist to extinguish fires quickly, with very little residual water. In fact, the MicroMist® system releases 100 times less water than traditional sprinkler systems, yet effectively extinguishes the fire! That translates into less run-off, less damage and easy clean-up.

Low Pressure Water Mist

The IFI Deluge-Tech RC150A Nozzle has a rotor that improves water droplet momentum and distribution, making it a more effective suppression nozzle than conventional deluge nozzles with deflector plates. The water is simultaneously directed at a wide angle, providing a protective water curtain, as well as forward which allows for greater reach. The nozzle is used in applications where deluge water spray systems are installed for special hazards protection. The IFI nozzle produces superior protection with a minimum water pressure of 50 psi to a maximum pressure of 175 psi. The nozzle may be oriented in any direction necessary to protect the hazard.

Water/Nitrogen

Vortex™ extinguishes small fires in large rooms in naturally ventilated environments. The average Vortex™ droplet size is less than 10 microns, using a minimal amount of water, released per emitter - as little as 3.8 litres per minute - virtually eliminates any wetting in a space. The Vortex™ fire suppression system provides the best capabilities of both water mist and inert gas systems. Ease of design, minimal wetting and advanced fire suppression capabilities all give the Vortex™ system the advantage over existing systems. The homogeneous mixture of water droplets and nitrogen gas is propelled with enough energy to overcome the drag effect that has limited the effectiveness of traditional water mist systems.

High Speed Deluge

High Speed Deluge and extinguishing systems detect and extinguish a spark or burning ember in under 300 milliseconds. Detecting a spark in a pneumatic material transport duct at speeds that often exceed 25 meters per second requires a very sensitive and very fast sensing device. High speed infrared detectors that actually count sparks can quickly actuate a suppression system that utilises water, CO2 or other extinguishing agent of choice to effectively protect the operating plant from fires and explosions. The detectors automatically and immediately reset themselves so that they stand ready to detect any possible subsequent sparks.
